Meet Amber

From the Laws of Man to the Laws of the Universe

My journey with astrology and yoga began long before Mindful Vibes ever existed. Growing up in a military family, I moved frequently, experiencing different communities, cultures, and perspectives. From an early age, I learned to appreciate what makes each of us unique and developed a deep curiosity about human behavior and the ways we experience the world.

As a teenager, I was drawn to the spiritual sections of bookstores and libraries, devouring astrology books in search of a deeper understanding of the human experience. At just 13 or 14, I rented my first yoga video from a small-town video store and began waking up before the rest of my family to practice in the quiet stillness of the morning. I didn't realize it then, but those early interests would eventually become the foundation of my life's next chapter.

Although spirituality had always fascinated me, my professional journey led me into the legal world. After graduating from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2014, I spent ten years practicing personal injury law, working closely with people navigating physical injuries, emotional challenges, and unexpected life transitions. Through my experiences with clients and medical professionals, I gained valuable insight into the human body while witnessing how profoundly life's challenges can affect our emotional wellbeing.

Over time, I began to recognize something that would later become central to my work: we often become so focused on pushing through life's challenges that we forget to recognize what those experiences are doing to us internally.

Becoming a mother changed everything. After years of fertility struggles, welcoming my two daughters was an incredible gift, but motherhood also brought challenges I hadn't anticipated. Between the demands of my legal career, postpartum experiences, and navigating my oldest daughter's developmental needs, I found myself approaching burnout. I had spent years advocating for others and meeting expectations, yet somewhere along the way, I had stopped making space for myself.

During this time, I returned to astrology, not simply as a lifelong interest, but as a way to better understand my children's unique personalities, emotional needs, and the differences between us. I began studying evolutionary astrology more deeply, eventually pursuing formal instruction with Shira Brenner, known as Shira the Sassy Healer. What began as a desire to better understand my daughters became an unexpected journey of understanding myself.

As I reevaluated my priorities, I made the decision to step away from practicing law and devote more time to my children and the practices that had always called to me. I often joked that I was leaving the laws of man to study the laws of the universe.

I deepened my Kundalini yoga practice, explored breathwork and meditation, and began studying sound healing. Along the way, I became increasingly fascinated by the relationship between emotional awareness, stress, and the nervous system. My legal background had taught me to ask questions, examine evidence, and appreciate the complexities of the human body, while my personal journey taught me the importance of listening to myself. Together, these experiences shaped a new understanding of wellness rooted in curiosity, self-awareness, and intentional living.

Mindful Vibes was born from my desire to share the practices that helped me reconnect with myself. Through evolutionary astrology, Kundalini yoga, breathwork, and sound healing, I create opportunities for people to slow down, reflect, and explore their inner world.

I'm especially passionate about supporting those navigating life's transitions—the overwhelmed parent, the professional carrying constant pressure, the caregiver putting everyone else first, or anyone who feels disconnected from the person they once were. I believe emotional awareness is essential to personal growth. We spend so much of our lives learning how to achieve, perform, and care for others, yet rarely are we taught how to pause and understand what we're truly feeling.

My hope is that Mindful Vibes becomes a welcoming space to explore without judgment, reconnect with yourself, and discover what it means to live with greater awareness and intention. Because sometimes the most meaningful journey isn't about becoming someone new. It's about finding your way back to yourself.

Whether you're curious about your birth chart, interested in mindful movement, or simply seeking a moment of stillness, I invite you to explore what Mindful Vibes has to offer.
